An example of something I'm famous for: drawing dragons.
I just figured I mightas well upload this. It's nearly a year old, so don't judge me based on this old thing. Anyway, in art class we all had to submit a bookmark design for a contest that had been going on in our district for years: design a bookmark featuring some message promoting libraries and reading, and it will be available for free at every school library in the city. In my class, it was a grade, and I didn't really want to do it, but obviously I had to. I had no good ideas, and so i just figured I'd take the easy way out - draw a dragon, put no effort into it at all, and listen to the "oo"'s and "aah"'s that would inevitably follow.
Lo and behold! - it won the contest for my age group. Weird, huh?
Made with colored pencils and pen, and took about 2 hours total.
EDIT: Finally, lighting, etc. edited in Photoshop to combat the evilness of my scanner.
Lol I used to do the same thing, but...I have never drawn a dragon, so obviously I did not draw a dragon to take the easy way out. It annoys me slightly how much people in my age groups have NOT paid attention to anatomy, proportions, and anything else required to draw a successful picture, and simply say, "oh this is how I imagine an eye to be so although the face I'm trying to draw does not have an eye like this I'll put this eye and then feel all amazing when Milora and Haky actually look at what it is they're drawing and thus render it successfully."
I KNOW! Nobody cares about anatomy anymore. I'm STILL perfecting the anatomy of the dragons I draw (it's a lot more precise than you think) but some people just don't care. *sigh*
This really does make a good bookmark concept. I really love it, and as usual, how you colored it is breath-taking. Not to mention the little quote to inspire people to read. it really is a good piece, nicely done
And No prob. ^^
